Contact Lens Care & Safety

Beautiful eyes begin with thoughtful care.

01 / BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Your Eyes Come First.

Colored contact lenses are medical devices, even when worn purely for cosmetic purposes. In the United States, all colored contacts — including plano (0.00) lenses — require a valid contact lens prescription and proper fitting by a licensed eye care professional.

Before wearing your WYLUNA lenses:

  • Make sure your lenses match your valid contact lens prescription.
  • Follow the instructions provided by your eye care professional and the lens manufacturer.
  • Check the lenses and packaging for damage before use. Never wear damaged or torn lenses.
  • Never share contact lenses with anyone, even if they do not correct vision.

02 / DAILY CARE — A Thoughtful Daily Ritual

A Thoughtful Daily Ritual.

Healthy lens habits begin with the little things. Handle your lenses with care and follow the cleaning instructions appropriate for your specific lens type.

Clean Hands, Every Time

Wash your hands with soap and water, then dry them thoroughly with a clean, lint-free towel before touching your lenses.

Use the Right Solution

For reusable lenses, use only care products recommended for your lens type by your eye care professional. Follow all cleaning and disinfection instructions.

Never Use Water

Never rinse or store your lenses in tap water, bottled water, or saliva. Saline solution alone does not disinfect lenses.

Fresh Solution, Always

Use fresh disinfecting solution each time you store reusable lenses. Never reuse or top off old solution.

Daily Disposable Lenses

If your lenses are labeled for single-day use, discard them after removal. Never clean, store, or reuse them.

03 / WEAR & STORAGE

Care Beyond the Moment.

Thoughtful lens care continues beyond the moment you put your lenses on. Follow your prescribed wearing schedule and care instructions to help protect your eyes.

Follow Your Wearing Schedule

Wear your lenses only for the duration recommended by your eye care professional. Never exceed your prescribed wearing schedule.

Never Sleep in Your Lenses

Remove your colored contact lenses before sleeping or napping unless your specific lenses are approved and prescribed for overnight wear.

Keep Lenses Away From Water

Remove your lenses before swimming, showering, or using a hot tub. Water exposure increases the risk of serious eye infections.

Store Reusable Lenses Properly

Store reusable lenses in a clean contact lens case with fresh, appropriate disinfecting solution. Clean and dry your case as directed, and replace it at least every three months or sooner if recommended.

Respect the Replacement Schedule

Follow the replacement schedule specified for your exact lens type. Never extend the recommended replacement period, even if your lenses appear to be in good condition.

04 / KNOW THE SIGNS

Listen to Your Eyes.

Your eye health always comes first. Contact lenses should never cause persistent pain, redness, or changes in vision. Recognizing warning signs early can help prevent serious complications.

Remove your lenses immediately if you experience:

  • Eye pain, burning, or unusual discomfort
  • Redness, swelling, or irritation
  • Blurred vision or other changes in vision
  • Unusual sensitivity to light
  • Excessive tearing or unusual discharge

When in Doubt, Seek Professional Care.

If any of these symptoms occur, remove your lenses immediately and contact an eye care professional promptly. Do not put the lenses back in or attempt to treat the problem yourself. Eye pain, redness, or vision changes may require urgent medical attention.
